Want to enjoy a meal on us and maybe meet the person of your dreams? Let the Boston
Globe Magazine play matchmaker. We’re looking for unmarried adult applicants for Dinner
With Cupid, a column that matches two singles up for a blind date and then details their
evening out together. Of course we hope that sparks fly, but we’ll write about the date
even when things don’t go so hot.
Participating requires a commitment. You must complete our questionnaire to help us in the
matchmaking; entries will be selected on the originality of answers and available matches.
During the date, we need you to snap a few digital photos of the two of you at the
restaurant; a camera will not be provided. And once it’s over, we require that you debrief
us with an “Exit” questionnaire that fills us in on how the date went from your own
perspective, the ups and downs. By submitting answers to us, you agree that we can publish
them as part of any article we write and we can share your answers with potential dates.
To enter, you must be at least 21 years of age and a resident of Massachusetts, Rhode
Island, New Hampshire, or Maine. You must be available for a date that we set up, agree to
attend that date, and be willing to sign our declaration of eligibility and release. We
will not provide transportation to or from the date, and we will reimburse dinners up to
$100, but no more. If you go over, the difference is on you.
*** Employees of The Boston Globe and their family members are ineligible.
To apply, please fill out the application below. Three recent photos of you are required to
complete the application. You will be asked to e-mail your photos at the end of this
survey. Any photographs or written material you submit becomes the exclusive property of
The Boston Globe. Please read The Boston Globe’s Privacy Policy here.
